King's narrow lane
King's narrow lane

With the new candidacy to World Heritage running, King,s narrow lane is located in a gorge, The Gaitans Gorge which counts more than 300 metres in height and widths less than 10 meters and that has been naturally excavated by the Guadalhorce river during hundreds of years.

King’s narrow lane is a place built in the walls of a cliff. A way of 3 metres long, built by the El Chorro Hydroelectric Society between 1901 and 1905 since it was necessary an access to facilitate the way to maintenance workers as well as the transport of materials and the vigilance of them between the Gaitanejo and El Chorrol Falls.

Nevertheless, and before this construction in the 20th-century, there is evidence that, since the neolithic, it was a strategic enclave as demonstrated by the abundance of deposits.
Thanks to this natural landscape you can enjoy a place where converge the Malagan mountains, high and steep walls, and the Guadalhorce river. Use comfortable footwear, put on a helmet and discover a unique scenery.
